Synopsis:

When the Secret Service agent resident in Jamaica disappears, M17 agent James Bond  is assigned to discover what happened to him. The Americans are also interested in this part of the world, as their rocket launches from Cape Canaveral are being 'toppled'.
A chauffeur allegedly acting on behalf of Government House, but who is really working for the enemy collects James Bond from Kingston Airport; the man kills himself rather than answers Bond's questions. Helped by CIA Agent Felix Leiter, and a Cayman Islander, Quarrel, Bond follows Strangways' investigations onto the island of Crab Key, where he had found radioactive rocks. Bond and Quarrel go out to Crab Key, where they meet Honey Ryder, a young beachcomber.
